Language trip to London

NEXT STOP: Wimbledon, London.

The language trip of the 4ADHW started on Saturday the 30th March at the airport in Klagenfurt. After a long journey we finally arrived in Wimbledon and met our host families. Overwhelmed by their warm welcome, we spent our first night in our new British homes. The next day was full of all the “must-sees” of London and of course we took as many selfies as possible. Luckily, the following days were not that exhausting because half of each day we attended a language school in Wimbledon to further improve our English skills.

Since Monday was the sunniest day we decided to travel to Greenwich to visit the Prime Meridian and Cutty Sark. With the Emirates Air Line we experienced an impressive view over London and then went comfortably back to the city centre by boat. Due to the bad weather on Tuesday, our group went to see the National History Museum and the Science Museum. Finally, on Wednesday the eagerly awaited day for almost all the girls arrived: SHOPPING DAY! After strolling through London’s famous shopping streets we went to the Lyceum Theatre to see the amazing musical “The Lion King”. The next day all of us were a bit tired but that did not stop us from visiting the London Dungeon, which was not for the faint-hearted among us.

Besides shopping, our group also loves to eat so Notting Hill was our last stop as it offers a lot of delicious street food at Portobello Market. Unfortunately, Saturday arrived too early and with the landing at Ljubljana airport our interesting, fun and awesome trip to London ended. However, this was definitely not our last time in this beautiful city.
